Recent Additions To The Ichiban New Bin

Midnight Sound Studio in Danville, Illinois is responsible for some of the most wigged-out sounds I've ever heard.  Here's a track from the world's first Amish garage rockers, Willie & the Travelairs, who came to the studio in horse and buggy.

The Fiery Stomp (mp3)

Thanks to Greg O for the add.

Wow! That was Great! Thanx!! I think I heard at least 4 different elements! Surf, Hillbilly, Beatles, and one more I can't pinpoint!

My poppy was a preacher with a small church in Danville, so I couldn't help but be curious about that Milky Way comp and boy howdy the whole record's crazy. Kookie Cook earns his name for sure. You dished out the best cut, but I recommend the whole wacky platter. I always knew there was more to Danville than the Van Dykes.

The whole platter Is good. The liner notes also offer interesting info about how the studio was set up. One of my fave new-to-me CDs.
